MKV movie files falters in VLC.

November 21st, 2013

Tried to play x264 coded MKV file with VLC, and now it falters like crazy.
Never had this problem before. It just began suddenly.
Trying to play the same file in Media player (/classic) everything works normally.

Its a codec issue. VLC uses its own codec’s. MPC relies on K-Lite codec pack for codecs.
MPC is a better player really, I just been using VLC so long I stick with it.
But I have both.

Try downloading some codecs maybe? But i am not sure if they are avaliable for VLC, so go try a new player like iZ18 adviced.

That wouldn’t be necessary because (like said before) VLC uses their own codecs.
But I have ffdshow codecs already installed.. so that couldn’t be the problem
