Micro sd card problem “Please insert a disk in G:”

August 6th, 2016

First a bit of story.
I gave my phone to my friend so it wouldn’t fall off my pocket. I forgot to take the phone back so he gave it to me the next day. Mind you my friend is a lawyers kid so I would call him the cause of the problem. Anyway, he did something to my sd card.
I couldn’t put the microsd in my Android phone slot otherwise the screen would flash and stop at the last picture displayed. Restarting is necessary. If I put the microsd in another phone it doesn’t recognize it at all in the phone, but if I connect the phone to my computer, the device icon flashes depending on how the computer likes it. I double click as usual and it says “Please insert a disk in G:”.
The microSD card is 4 gb so SDHC and says pqi on the other side.
Thanks in advance.

hmm i have had similar issues before…. try these following methods:
1) Connect the SD card to another PC to see if it is a problem with your PC or USB port.
2) If that does not work, try recovering data from the SD card using a data recovery software.
3) Your final option is to do a quick format of your SD card. After formatting, as mentioned earlier, use recovery software to re-scan the memory card & recover more data if possible. Because a quick format option won’t delete all data for good until overwritten.
…..If all these fails, then unfortunately the controller of your card is damaged and no software or card reader can help you. In that case….. you must separate the memory chip and dump the raw data to recover your data, look here: http://card-recovery.biz/us/service.php
