Cannot format micro SD card.

“Windows was unable to complete the format” error message when I try to format it.
And also
Get this message while trying to format using cmd:

Its a 16gb card, I have tried various programs like easus partition manager etc with no luck.
Any ideas how to fix it or is the card dead?

Did you try formating as Fat32 ?

Bin it.
16GB cards are dirt cheap.
Try formatting it in a digital camera (using an SD adapter), or use HP format tool.

I wouldn’t trust putting data on anything that is flaky.

Yes tried as fat32, ext and everything. HP format tool also failed to format it!

try programs such as:
SD Formatter 4.0 for SD/SDHC/SDXC

you can try ‘gparted’ too.
but it sounds like a pretty rotten SD card, if your using it for anything important, then I’d be considering getting a new one
