Metadata what is it? can i delete it?

ok i just downloaded the dmx discography and it came with an extra folder called metadata it just has the names of the songs andthere 1kb files i was woundering what do they do and can i delete them? thanks

It should contain the data required to add ‘tags’ to all the songs I would think..
If you use “Tag and Rename” you should be able to add the tags (the things that tell you the name,artist, album, genre etc)
