~SOLVED~Delete folder that wont delete Win 7 x64

I swear win 7 is worse than vista. I uninstalled this program and there still is a director in C Program files whatever so Im trying to delete that folder but win 7 wont let me. First I am admin on Computer so I try to delete it says access denied. I take ownership grand full access then it says Error Applying Security WTF? this ~love~ driving me nuts its been half an hour i have been trying to erase this ~love~ folder WTF ~censored~ windows

1. Go in SAFE MODE and delete it
2. Download tool called UNLOCKER and delete that folder with it…
3. Google a bit….

Use Unlocker as Gjoksi said.
Alternative would be LockHunter.

If none of those methods work, just boot from a live cd, and you can delete anything you want.

I hate downloading other programs for simple task as just deleting ~censored~ windows files. I went on safe mode and killed it. thanx guys

Unlocker/LockHunter are good apps to have installed. takes about 15 seconds to download and install, and worth a lot more…

I wasnt trying to be an asswhole I meant that I didnt want to download an extra program just to be able to delete a file.

Unlocker does many things, like it can move files that are being used by another process. As wo_Ot? said, it is a tiny app anyway. You don’t need to use the “assistant” just disable that on start up from the notification area.

Unlocker is JUST 783KB! So I don’t get your point…

thank you wo_Ot? for the tip on unlocker.. i also have had issues with win 7 “holding onto” files and folders and refusing to delete, and the progi did the trick! thanks again
