Mass effect – Overheat bug

Ive been playing mass effect for 8hrs now (according to the save), but now the mission im on, the overheat bar gets “stuck” and i have to exit and enter the game. Is this to do with the “IND” crack, or is it just the game? does anyone else get this?

hey. Yes, I get the overheat bug, where any weapon thats overheats gets stuck at overheating. I am not using the crack you are, so I assume that is a game issue. MASS EFFECT has this problem posted in their boards with people who have purchased the game legit. So it is probably NOT a crack problem.
The awesome thing is that some crackers may think that the problem is with the crack, and therefore fix the bug in the game!! But I am not sure if this has happened or not yet. I’ve been doing some research elsewhere and I think a few are getting close. I just started to look again here, but as as far as i know the only sure fix is to reload a previous save. Some have said save and reload- but that does NOT work for me, so who knows it might for you.
I also noticed that if you start a new game the SAME PROBLEM will happen with an entirely new character. I am about to restart from scratch (yes 9.5 hours of game down the drain) delete the profiles and do it all again. At least it is a great game.

Ok thanks, glad its not a crack issue, hopefuly it will be adressed in the next game update. howcomes your restarting the game?

because i accidentally saved over the file. haha, but it’s okay, I had an autosave that i lucked out on. The new crack is out I posted it in the thread. It fixes the overheat issue! And I didn’t have to start a new game (at least i don’t think so since i had that saved backup).
pretty far along. I’m level 28, but doing like every sidequest so it’s taking a while. Still want to level up a little more.
