Macbook or Sony VAIO

i’m thinking of buying a laptop for school, etc.
There are 2 things i have in mind
a macbook (with 4gigram , and 2,4 GHZ version )
or a Sony VAIO VGN-AW11M/H
Have a picture here to compare.
what would would you choose ( besides the fact you like/dislike mac or windows)
Choose Sony, Mac is expensive.
I like the sony VAIO better.
go sony mate… windows is so much better to use due to everyone using it compared to macs needing everything in mac format
You should buy the Sony VAIO.
get the vaio, but remember, your screen is 18″, that’s not what you could call portable
I’ve made a lot queries like you regarding SONY or MAC with online reviews, colleagues reviews and many other. Finally I found that SONY is the best one.
MAC & SONY rocks away in terms of performance but when it comes to style (I mean real royal style) SONY comes first place.
Don’t load Windows Vista into SONY. It will literally burns away your Laptop. You better load WINDOWS XP SP2 or Ubuntu. As you mentioned you are using for school purposes then obviously you have to work on SONY. MAC is for Extreme Creative and Office applications.
Instead of Mac you choose HP as your second option. It really makes neck to neck competation with SONY VAIO performane but not style.
MAC look nice but don’t have much use in my opinion, sony you can do a lot of stuff with it with more support as well since majority of people will be using a window version rather than mac.
go for the one that doesnt stink lol (in other words get the sony not the mac!)
well it depends on what you use it for, MAcs: for graphics, movies, gaming etc…
sony:general use, internet…the usual stuff.
I would go for the mac, but thats my opinion, if you want to go for the cheaper one then go for the Sony VAIO VGN-AW11M/H
