Mac OS X is not supported with software virtualization

October 24th, 2013

Hey i get this error when trying to run a MAC os through VMWare
“Mac OS X is not supported with software virtualization. To run Mac OS X you need a host on which VMware Workstation supports hardware virtualization.”
I download a exe. from the AMD website that tells me if my computer supports virtulization and it does, i’ve enabled virtualisation in the BIOS yet im still recieveing this error. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks

Apple is very stingy about allowing users to run Mac OSX on non Apple computers, even through virtualization. Honestly, I’m not surprised.
Have you tried this?

Hi Hater replied: To run Mac OS X you need a host on which VMware Workstation supports hardware virtualization."
Sounds to me like your computer’s processor does not support virtualization (VT-x).
