help needed keep getting upgrade path is not supported with repair install windows 7 home premium

hi everyone
i am trying to do a repair install on a laptop but keep getting message saying this upgrade path is not supported.is it not possible to do a repair install on windows 7 home premium.any help will be greatly appreciated

You can only do a repair install with the same edition Windows 7 installation disc for the same edition of Windows 7 that you have installed.
