Flash Player – “your platform is not supported”?

January 31st, 2020

I have a flash player working with my browser, but now I noticed that when I tried to open an SWF file from the hard-drive it didn’t find what program to use and I didn’t have any “flash player” option from the program list.
So I got into the Adobe page to see if something is missing, but it tells me that “your platform is not supported”.
It works in the browser, but it’s like the standalone won’t install.
I have a Windows XP 64-bit version, but I’ve also had it in my older computer and it worked fine.
I’ve also tried to install “install_flash_player_10_active_x.msi” (I don’t how this “ActiveX” is related) I’ve found somewhere but it didn’t seem to do anything.
Thanks in advance.

Answer #1
could be a 32-bit operation. however 64bit should emulate the 32bit in order to make it compatible
consider installing a flash player for windows from adobe
Answer #2
???…
I said it worked on my older (but same operation system) computer, and what I just said is that I CANNOT INSTALL THE FLASH PLAYER (at least from what their site tells me, even though the browser itself plays flash).
The question is HOW TO INSTALL IT (and maybe it’s basically installed but from some reason doesn’t play without the browser).
