Internet Streaming

August 8th, 2013

Hi, Can I ask what are minimum system spec to stream videos on Internet?
I am using software “XSplit Broadcaster” for streaming on JustinTV
Right now I have AMD Athlon 640 x4 3.0Ghz, 4GB RAM DDR and AMD Radeon HD 5670
I want to stream videos in at least 480p so game looks normally and it is not laggy but I am not sure If I should even try to find out solution for it if I dont have good enough computer to beggin with.
Thank you for every answer.
Edit:
Next month I want to upgrade my PC to new one, mainly for Gaming so streaming would be really just sided thing, but you can also comment what do you think about new computer I want to get and If I could run on it like…everything..

That’s certainly good enough,But this ones goes beyond the hardware as it involves streaming,You gotta have
a solid upload speed for that!

Looks good but you really don’t wanna get all ram slots filled up,Get 2X 4GB instead,Also,You could
settle with a 750w (Do get one of a quality brand tho)

Depends on if it’s a prebuilt or not and how much it costs. I’m guessing it’s a prebuilt and it’s going to be overpriced.
That's certainly good enoughNope. It will struggle and will struggle hard.

I actually Tried 480p on Justin TV and I had horrible lags on Stream

I actually Tried 480p on Justin TV and I had horrible lags on StreamOf course you will.
Is that new rig a prebuilt or are you building it yourself and what’s the price of it?
Answer #5
Well I don’t have enough courage to do it by myself so I made Custom Build on Internet on one website, cost of it is £1250 with Windows and also max overclocking so I dont think it is that bad…
Answer #6
Well those exact components cost less than £1000 checking around on scan[.]co[.]uk which seems to be popular with British folk. You can get Windows for free and overclocking takes like 20 seconds on these processors. If you’re willing to justify spending £250 for someone spending around an hour putting together some expensive LEGO then by all means go for it.

I was trying once tu put together one computer and I messed up and made it worse so thats why I chosen Custom Build on internet, for making sure that it works properly, so for me is actually better to sacrifice £200 to get everything working with overclocking and so on……. just because I am not good with hardware at all.
But do you think that I can STream on JustinTV at least 480p without lags?with that new one Iwant to buy. Btw my internet connection is 50MB from Virgin, download is around 6mb/s and upload is around 602kB/s

The new one will let you stream at 1080p without breaking a sweat. Don’t worry.
