Installing files on an iPad

Apologies if this is a fiairly basic question, but having just bought an iPad I’m wondering if it’s possible to install some of the apps I can see on the forum.
If so, can someone point me in the direction of a link that could tell me how to do it? Am I right in thinking that I’ll need to jailbreak the device first?

i believe you have to jailbreak the Idevice. your best bet is PM’ing wo_Ot? the I-Guru

You need to jailbreak your iPad first then you will be able to install cracked apps.
Now please tell me what iPad you have (1 or 2) and what firmware (FW)?
