If somebody discovers way how to burn password protected DVD, then he will make a lot of money.

It may not suit your needs perfectly but this is my suggestion:
TrueCrypt ( free and open source, no back doors there )
http://www.truecrypt.org/
1. Using TrueCrypt, create a hidden volume
    Outer Volume FAT, Hidden Volume NTFS
    Maximum size 4481MB
2. Dismount and burn the volume using Nero
    Nero -> Data -> UDF DVD
    Drag n' drop the volume
    Multisession -> Start multisession
    UDF -> Physical Partition -> UDF 2.01
3. Burn

Now you can mount your DVD using your password.
Feel free to ask if you’ve got any further questions.

Yes, have a look here:

I’ve archived all my DVDs this way since I discovered TrueCrypt.

Mate, if you find it hard to create a hidden volume just go ahead and create a normal volume, it will still not be accessible without the password.
Here’s a short tutorial:

If you choose to go this way, I’ll provide you with a couple of batch files to mount/unmount your volume or DVD on the fly.

Well yes, that’s possible of course but:
Using a TrueCrypt volume allows you to use it as a 4,4 GB hard drive.
So you basically mount your volume, add/remove files to/from it very easily. Dismount, burn and done!
That leads me to say, it’s more convenient than packing/unpacking 4,4 GB every time you need to burn your DVD.

Thank you for responses. But, once password protected the DVD will not be playable in home dvd players. Though it may be copy protected.
