How to play ps1 games on slim ps2(new)

anybody can help me? ive been trying to play my ps1 games to my modded ps2 but it always comes to the browser section… my ps2 is slim and the color is the cinnabar red. can somebody help me?

You need PSX Launcher a elf (PS2 excutable) and a original PS disk that boots. What PS2 version do you have? Hint: flip the console upside down and read out the “SCPH- xxxxx”. Do you have a spare memory card?
Basically you use the swap trick.

can i just convert psx games to dvd so that it will play on the ps2? is it possible?

Here what i do.
1. Insert the CD and turn off the ps2 (power off).
2. Click the power button 3 types (quickly, but not so fast).
For me it works perfectly, hope this helped you too.

Not a good idea, multiple power cycles isn’t good.
Converting to DVD won’t work. PS driver is configured to read CD’s only.

May be you are right, but i can play the PS1 games with the method i mentioned. So, i hope its worth a try.

reset your ps2 console 3 times after inserting your ps1 game.that’s all i do.
