your new hardware will cause errors and prevent proper booting if you try this
you are better off doing a fresh install
if you want to try cloning here’s a list of disk cloning software
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_disk_cloning_software
and after cloning the drive run a XP repair install with “TinyXP Rev09” (it has no restrictions) to refresh the hardware

Answer #3
what is the best alternative xp windows to install on a new pc?
Answer #4
First of all this cant be done on any version other than windows 8, Second putting xp on a new computer is madness
Answer #5
I have had quite a bit of luck with Windows 7, seems to be able to install hardware drivers during boot when you throw it in a new computer. Needs to be similar setup tho.
With window XP, don’t waste your time.
Answer #6
OK better than i shall look for a alternative xp like tinyxp.
There was no problem when i have a real xp cd but it was a oem pre installed version on my old computer.
Thanks

tinyxp.
this is what I still use, “TinyXP rev11” is the latest version and is still the best windows OS IMO
win7 seven is a “dumbed down” version of XP and a good alternative for new hardware
XP does not support SSD drives fully and does not include DX11, for example
there is “Tiny7 rev01” as an alternative to full 7
you can also dual boot 7 & XP to try both out (install XP 1st)
with all that being said, I’d say win7 is your best option because of your newer hardware
