[Help] – Playing Pokemon on PSP
August 1st, 2016
Thanks in advance.
Yes… you are correct… you can play any GB, GBC, GBC pokemon game on PSP.
The first thing you will need to do is load a custom firmware onto your console
http:www.psp-hacks.com
This site has all the basics and guides about the matter… it may be worth registering with them to get support on the forum.
Once you have custom firmware on your PSP you will need a GBA emulator which can also be forund on the same site.
THe emulator may require you to download a GBA BIOS… yoo will also obviously need a rom of the game you want to play.
UPDATE:
Just in case you already have custom firmware or are having trouble finding the emulator and/or BIOS … I have upped a RS link for the emulator (including needed BIOS) + Pokemony Shiny Gold Rom
http://~ Dead file host ~/files/302366564/FILE.rar
The provided folder inside the rar file simply needs to be place in the GAME folder.

Hi I'm wondering how I could play Pokemon on my PSP 1000. I know it requires some sort of emulator, but I couldnt find the details on exactly how this things works. Please explain it to me.
Thanks in advance.
first off you need to hack your psp.
you then install a cfw (custom firmware, aka operating system), you then download psp emulator, and the roms and run it.
its fast and easy to hack a psp 1000 to play games and emulators, you can download all the psp,ps1,snes,genesis, nes games you want here and put them on your psp 1000 and play them.
post what current system software you are running (go to settings and click on system software) it will tell use which patch you require to hack your psp, and as always lower is better if your psp is too updated (past 5.03 system software) it will cost you money to hack it since you need a psp boot battery aka pandora battery which lets you change the boot up sequence of your psp so you can do a clean psp operating system install.
Thanks you all, I got it to work ^_^
