Answer #12
go here

and pick the fastest one you can afford
is there any size restrictions??
two available slots, card only uses 1 but fan covers the 2nd on most cards
the length is limited only by your case clearance
Answer #13
go here

It doesn’t work like that mate, you have pick accordingly to CPU limitations.
Realistically its reasonable to get a GT 640 or a 7750 or anything slower than that.
Answer #14
You would need to find out what power supply he has and if there is enough space for the graphics card in the case

What he means is that a fast GPU can bottleneck a slower CPU so things slow down and you get no advantage..
Your E5700 CPU is getting towards the lower end, these days, so too fast a GPU won’t be worth it.
Answer #17
WOULD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 AMP! Edition 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card WILL WORK ????

no you don’t
his current setup may not take full advantage of a GPU, but there’s nothing that says he has to consider his CPU when buying a video card
buying what he can afford now will cover him if he decides to upgrade his CPU in the future

I’ve never thought of that, good one.
Answer #20
Shouldn’t his OS be a consideration too. Isn’t 32 bit windows only capable of addressing 4G of memory including video memory?
Answer #21
