Buying a new pc, advice needed

August 24th, 2013

Hello,
I was looking around on the internet because I want to buy a new gamer pc, the cheap sites for gamer pc’s are all in the US, I was wondering if anyone knew a good website for gamer pc’s in EU, since i wouldn’t need to pay tax since its in EU.
I wish everybody a happy new year !

Answer #1
try ebay and search for a local seller
Answer #2
Yea, if your on a low budget (under $500) and you need a gaming PC, your best bet is to pick up a second hand PC.
Like DigitalSlave says, look at eBay or your local Craigslist if you have one.
Look for one with a good GPU/CPU and at least 4+ GB of RAM.
Answer #3
You’d probably be better off building your own, or buying a decent second hand one (as suggested above)
I live in UK, which is in EU and we pay 20% VAT ? (are you getting better fiscal deals in mainland Europe than us ?)
Answer #4
Thanks for all the answers. My budget is about €1000.
The Meerkat : No its not better on the mainland, but if i order a pc from USA then Denmark loves to put a lot ekstra VAT on the bought items.
Answer #5
I would also say build your own or buy second hand off ebay.
Answer #6

CyberPowerSystem custom build PCs at your needs but will be expensive
P.S – I would suggest you to build your own PC
Answer #10
So by building your own PC it will be cheaper than cyberpower ? I mean if i order it myself from other sites the same pc as on the site or ?

Custom made pcs are quite expensive.
Just ask for help with what to pick, and buy the parts and build yourself. Someone will always help on the net and there must be loads of vids on youtube about building a pc.
The only part that is not obvious is putting the case cables into motherboard, i.e power cables for case.
The rest of the parts to put in are obvious, you cannot really mess up where they go.
Just buy your own parts and build yourself.

It’ll be cheaper for you to build it yourself as CyberPowerSystem charge you VAT/Delivery and for them to build it for you

Yup, I see, it’s the same here. I very rarely buy anything from USA as Customs always put import tax on it (and the postage costs) – USA sellers are too afraid to undervalue the items on the customs declaration, however, anything I have bought from Hong Kong & China have never been taxed extra.
Send an e-mail to UK sellers like Dabs, Scan and see if their customers that have shipped to Denmark have been hit with extra tax, they should tell you, or ask your local Customs office what countries you are safe to import from.
For 1000 Euros you would be able to buy a really good rig if you build it yourself.
