help building a gaming pc

August 4th, 2016

i’m trying to build a good decent gaming pc and cant seem to decide on the cpu/mobo combination
i’m planning to go for the following configurations…
AMD ATHLON X2 5200+ Gigabyte AMD 740G GA-MA74GM-S2 Motherboard
RAM: 800 MHz 2 GB OCZ (w/Heat Sink)
hdd: seagate 500GB graphic card : ati radeon 4770hd
as i am going for a ati 4770 i feel that the onboard graphics will be of not much use so i plan to buy a mobo with non integrated graphics
plz help me on deciding the motherboard and cpu..
which is the psu i should go for? zebronics / corsair?
also im not sure whether to go for intel or amd which is better ?
i have a budget of $400-500
plz help me out……..

If you have low budget and go with AMD, I suggest the Asus M2N68 MOBO, it packs a punch for low price.
With some tweaking I got it to run my 5000+ at 3.1 Ghz. So low that mobo with at least a 5000+ or if you can get yourself on a Black Edition, even better. Phenoms are say terrible unless you go for the Phenom II’s.
For PSU go with Corsair. If your into Intel, E5200 paired with a cheap P45 Mobo or at least a P35. With those hardware a 500 Watt PSU should cut it, if your on 4770 I suggest you go for a 600W.
