Halo 1 C.E. Dedicated Server

August 5th, 2016

So browsing the game servers I either see a ridiculously high ping server or one that is empty, so I get to thinking that I have this spare rig and I might turn it into a spare server computer for me and my local friends to frag out on. Here is the specs
1.3 ghz Celeron (not the best but it gets by)
1Gig ddr ram
80 gb hd
TinyXp beast Edition
(need a graphics card lol thats the bad part) My integrated died.
As well as its own internet connection not shared with anything else in the house.
Judging by these I think I should be fine:
Halo dedicated server requires a personal computer with the following minimum requirements:
Multimedia personal computer with a 733 MHz or higher processor
Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 Service Pack 1, or Windows XP
 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM
200 MB of available hard disc space
Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
 Broadband internet connection
These differ from the retail version of Halo PC by not requiring:
 8x CD-ROM drive
 32 MB 3D hardware-transform-and-lighting capable video card
Sound card and speakers or headphones
 DirectX 9.0b
To run an optimal Halo PC dedicated server, a personal computer with the following requirements is recommended:
Personal computer with a 1.4 GHz or higher processor
Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server (with all service packs installed)
256 MB of RAM or more
Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
When running multiple instances on a server, these requirements have to be adjusted to account for the additional resources required.

Answer #1
