GPS tracking how

So I need some advice here. If I buy a tracking device and put it in my car someone else can real-time check it.
But where does he see the maps etc and which device must I use (does somebody else uses one? Can I use my tomtom etc.?)
Or anything similar to tomtom work in a cheaper edition?

You can buy these tracking devices from any major electronics store. They basically bolt or screw into your vehicle. I’m pretty sure they come with a program that allows you to track them, or else they would be worthless.
Funny story my friends old girlfriend got caught by her dad with one of these. She told her dad she was going shopping when she was actually going to my friends house. Powerful tools indeed…
