FRAPS recording questions
August 15th, 2013
Also anyone tried changing the recording save location to Network? By using Ethernet Cable I will save the recorded videos in my laptop while I record in the main PC, will this also work out fine?
just give the taget location drive wch have more space..
then it`ll give better performance!!
fraps record videos in raw format wch take gbs to save a 10 or 20 min video..
as most ppl have os stuff in C it`ll degrade the fps as more file space goes to saving video ..
i installed fraps in D: drive n savin in same destination..
no prob until now..
No, I doubt that you will see any performance by changing saving route.
Fraps is using way many resources
Try this:

Uh thats a screen recorder, and I know that types of recorders is usually used on desktop tutorials because it runs only at 15fps or less
@topic
I will try to create a new partition today and come back here if there is really any improvements
Does anyone know the program that runs in desktop and lets you edit the Boot screen? I forgot the name of that software
if you have good system specs it wont matter where your location is.
but you didnt provide that information

I have decent specs but not good enough to run GTA IV, I only have 3ghz dual core, 4gb ram, and a nvidia 9600 gt.
I tried the “seperate partition” recording and to my expectations it didn’t work. I recorded AC:R but it gets the same FPS when recording (locked it at 30 fps but its good enough and works fine)
now only my problem is why FRAPS keep seperating the video files at 4GB size each

you can not have over 4GB files. just a guess as to why it is 4GB in size
