You can’t convert DVD to HD i’m afraid, it’s physically impossible.
You can do certain things to DVDRips to make them look slightly better – color boost, filters, sharpen etc but they’ll never be HD. Have a look at playing your DVDs in Neuview Media Player though, it might be of some use to you.
Answer #4
Then how when they make movies and re do them how can they put old movies into HD then?
Answer #5
I’m not an expert on the subject but i believe all movies are filmed/mastered in a very high resolution – greater even than 1080 HD. They need these high resolutions for broadcasting in theaters.
These very high res master copies are then downscaled to PAL or NTSC resolution for the DVD copies. They’ve never been widely available in higher res before because there was no media capable of storing that much data, but now Blu Ray is becoming more commonplace, older films are becoming available in HD.

that’s because they have the original 35mm (or whatever it was filmed at the time) tape , so they can just re-process it and slighty improve the image you can’t take a dvd and convert it to HD
the dvd is already written that way , to make it HD you would have to own the original pellicule that was used to make the movie
as the other say , you could slighty work with image filter and such thing. But I wouldn’t bother with that , since you could barely see the difference ..

this has no sense! what do you need it for?
it is the same like with money. you just cant buy a car with 20 bucks in the pocket.
and you cant achieve HD quality with lower DVD video!
do not even try it, the video will be blured, low quality.
