Question About Burning DVDs

August 7th, 2016

Okay if I download a PAL DVD-R off this website and use Nero to burn the DVD will that PAL version of the movie play in an NTSC DVD player?
Answer #1
depends if it’s region locked (the DVD player that is). Can it play retail PAL DVDs?
Answer #2
I think it depends on who is ripping it. When you rip a movie you can choose whether you want to remove the region code I believe. If they left the PAL code on it, then it probably will not work in your NTSC player. What are you trying to download?

When I downloaded it and burned it to a DVD I tried burning it two times with 2 diff programs, ConvertXToDVD, Nero Burning Rom, and when I burn it and play it in the DVD player all I get is a constant repeat of lines like when a VHS was going off track and u had to allign it or whatever.
It plays just perfect in my PC when I put the DVD in but with my DVD player that reads DVDRs it acts like I said.
Please remember that ALL links must be coded, including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords, and internal links. Coded for you this time.

That is weird….. On my ps3 if I accidentally burn one in PAL it says “PAL not supported” on the screen. Make sure you aren’t burning it in PAL. ConvertXtoDvd has an option for PAL and NTSC, make sure it’s set to NTSC.
Answer #5
It is set to NTSC, On my DVD player it would “play” the DVD but the TV always seemed liek ti was needing tracking adjustment, and in 2 other DVDs I played it in it told me Disc Read Error, but when I played it in my PC with an NTSC drive it played PERFECTLY.
Answer #6
Try it using ConvertXToDvd see if that fixes it.
