does the blackberry storm take sims

I got t-mobile wanted to buy a blackberry story and unlockit and use it with tmobile but verizion doesnt use sim cards. Anyone try this does it work?

No it won’t work, as you’d need a Sim Card or Verizon’s wireless transmitter fitted into the phone.

The BlackBerry Storm 9530 is an international and worldwide electronic communicating device, featuring CDMA with EV-DO Rev. A data, UMTS with HSDPA, and quad-band GSM with EDGE data access speed. The BlackBerry Storm 9500 does not include the CDMA module and is destined for use outside North America. However, the BlackBerry Storm only has European, Oceania, Asia and Brazil UMTS and HSDPA frequency bands. Therefore if the BlackBerry Storm is used with GSM wireless carriers in North America, the BlackBerry Storm will only be able to access wireless internet at EDGE data speed maximum. There are currently no unlocked and unbranded versions available for the GSM Blackberry Storm however unlocking the phone will allow it to be used with any GSM service provider.

I have A Blackberry Storm for t-mobile and it works great. Just needed to be unlocked.

I got a BB 9530 Storm unlocked on Verizon and it takes any sim card i got my orange contract sim in it

ya all blackberry’s will work on sims. I bought a blackberry storm which was locked to USA Verizon network (which is CDMA).
I took the phone to India, unlocked it (unlock code can be purchased online, like from ebay etc). Then I am using it in GSM network, using Vodafone connection. It works perfect. I have activated Blackberry Internet service and now I can browse websites, could configure upto 10 emails (like gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc). Everything works perfect…
I went to Youtube and found many videos on how to unlock blackberry etc, and followed the instructions after purchasing the unlock code… So don’t worry… Just purchase a blackberry handset from anywhere in the world, if it is locked, just unlock it, and you are done…. Blackberry rocks @@@@@!!!!!!!!!!
