Do I need anything to use a 2.5” laptop sata on a desktop?

So, do I need anything?
I am going to do a backup of my laptop tomorrow, and I want to know if I need anything to install it on a desktop. Or what I could do to make it work, etc
The desktop has sata availabe.

Just hooks up as normal sata/power cables.
If you want the drive to be secured in place then you may want a 3.5-2.5″ drive bay adapter.

just be sure the PC does not try to boot from it, be sure your 1st boot device is your current drive
