Not sure what you mean by delete..You mean something like delete a partition or Data?
Answer #2
when you are in the process of formatting your disks to install windows.. you are in a stage that you got some options and the options are “format” “delete” your disk data.. :C
edit: my English are not so good cause my teacher was video games and i cant really give a more detailed explanation -.-
Answer #3
Delete a partition destroys it completely and just leaves unallocated HDD space, whilst the “format” option only erases data, but keeps the “volume” of the partition, the space it currently takes up at the HDD. In both cases, data loss occurs, so make sure you have backup / don’t need the data. As an example, if you have a 500GB hard disk split into two partitions, one 200GB and one 300GB, by using delete and creating new ones you can have a 100GB and 400GB combo, or a 250 and 250 or go from two to three partitions say 100,150 and 250 GB etc etc.
Answer #4
so should i choose format?
Answer #5
Check the volume to make it proper. The standard is two partitions one for Windows and one for all the other data. How much you want for each depends on a the hard drive’s space and your needs. If you see two partitions and take up reasonable space then just format. If you see only one, then I’d recommend to DELETE and use the new button to create two, each with appropriate space.
Answer #6
Unless you want to recreate partitions, you want to choose format.
