Is my IP blocked form megaupload or is it my ISP?

August 5th, 2016

I dont know if its my ISP or the websites themselves, but a few months ago I noticed my access was blocked to a regular fan website for a trading card game. I had to go though proxies to get there. Never did anything wrong, never even posted on their forums or anything just browsed though. Now I have to go though a proxy to get to megaupload too. Does megaupload block your IP if you download anything form them? And how can I change my IP? I have a static IP I believe though th ISP centurylink. My ISP says they don’t block traffic when I asked a few months back why I was blocked from a website.

Megaupload doesn’t block your ip because you download. There is no need for that since they can just suspend/delete your account.

What do you see when you attempt to get to Megaupload?
MU do limit downloads from each IP address if your attempting to download as a free user and you have some form of shared IP address or if you have to go through an ISP transparent proxy. These are sometimes used to censor the internet because UK ISP’s use them with the IWF, frequently blocking sites like MU/HF. In these cases you could be prevented from downloading as a free user. But then you will be shown the IP address on the MU page, if that IP address isn’t yours, then it must be a transparent proxy being used by your ISP.
If you cannot reach MU at all, then the problem lies elsewhere, possibly a DNS or routing problem.
Answer #3
Yea I cant get to MU at all. the page times out. im in the USA, in the southeast BTW.
Answer #4
Try going from any proxy website and see….. If the problem is still same you may need to ask MU for help….
Answer #5
It could be just a dns problem, try using another DNS, I doubt MU will ban you, it’s like the most flexible filehost.
Answer #6
