cs5 wont open

downloaded a portable version of cs5 worked fine then i closed down my machine & next time i tried to open it just wont! nothing happens?? lil egg timer dude swirls for a few seconds then nothing. any ideas??? I googled it & foudn one post that said if i was connected to the internet that photoshop would connect to adobe & they can disable it or something. Any truth in that?? thanks in advance for any advice!

The same thing happened to me. I gave up in the end and installed CS6 master suite. I’ve had no problems with that.
