Compress Windows XP

January 24th, 2020

I have recently acquired an Asus Eee as you will probably know the OS is linux. I have tried to get to grips with it and install stuff but i’ve given up. Is there anyway of compressing my windows xp pro disk so i can can then use it to install over the linux version i have. I know it would be quicker and easier to get one of my other 40gb hard drives and install it on that but you know i dont want that lol

compressing my windows xp pro disk
not sure what you mean by this
if the Eee has a CD drive and is x86 compliant just pop in your XP CD and wipe the drive & install XP
Answer #2
I had never heard of the Eee before reading about it in this topic. I’d love to have something like that but see they command a high price;

With only small Solid State Hard Drives I would be leaning toward one of those tweaked down versions of XP so as to leave more space for file storage.
