Buying Pre-owned games
September 3rd, 2013
In console that is not a problem. The ONLY problem with used games is when the game offer you some special code to download content for free. That code can only be used 1 time. If the previouse owner had use that code then you cannot. But usualy that code is just for stuff extra game, like extra maps, or stuff like that.
So in conclusion you will not have problem on console I do the same thing becouse I cant afford the price of new games too
Thanks! So other than minor scratches, there seems to be nothing to worry about. But let’s say I want to buy the DLC too, I can still use it on the pre-owned game right? As long as the previous owner didn’t use it yet?
Yes, of course. That will work fine, it will be as if you actually bought it.
I thought for EA games, you had to pay to play online if you bought the game used?

yeah you get a serial to input. if you buy a game second hand i think you need to buy the online pass seperatly.
yeh Ubisoft(i think) , Activison , EA , THQ and now Sony games now make u pay to play if you buy used but if you buy used you can avoid having to pay 5-10$ off the PSN store by buy used from gamefly cause u get the code even if you buy it used . but if you buy from gamestop or what other stores sell used games majority of the time you will have to pay the extra cash for the online pass/unlock to get/play online as as the above i stated those companies now are p2p(pay2play) games .
its mainly down to stop ppl using backup managers etc online. i had so much fun with my CFW ps3 and online games at first

interesting… I didn’t know this… How can I know if game X or Y will have this kind of problems? Becouse I buy games from people of my country. I only have bought old games yet but in example killzone 3, will I have a problem with killzone 3?
