Great resource. Just completed a new system.
Maybe your question is to buy a completed system, vs a system you build??

what are you going to use it for? gaming for £500 maybe a bit tricky.

Indeed
Probably best to slap on a quad core from AMD and spend the most you could on a GPU

I’d like to use this topic to ask something for myself, if you wouldn’t mind.
Is there a way to build something and concentrate ONLY in the gaming performance of the computer, and not care about anything else? Hoping it would be cheaper that way, but it doesn’t make sense to me, I’m just asking…. If a PC is good for gaming, it will be good for almost anything! right?

General theory there is to say buy an i5 rather than an i7 and put what you save to a better GPU..

My system is like that, but if you can afford a bit more, then a 8 core would be good and somewhat cheaper than an i7.

this is for and , for gaming the most important thing is gpu , and cpu can handle the data rate of gpu . otherwise bottleneck will happen which means , u cant get the best out of your gpu. also current games can not utilize all cores and all threads of most powerful cpus , which means after a point every cent you paid for a better cpu will give you 0 benefit.
if you are going to play an old game for example 10 years ago , even a cpu with 1 core at 4ghz (i dont know that kind of cpu , just an example) , may perform better than the current best consumer cpu from intel 5960X 8 cores 16 threads at 3.5ghz since its single core clock is higher and oldest games generally can only utilize 1 core. also it would be good if you buy ssd , it wont significantly effect the fps of games but load times and such. if you have more specific question , i gladly answer , or if you are going to buy a new pc , give me a site with familiar prices to you and budget , i will try to give a few suggestions.
