Buying a gfx card: GeForce 9500GT or Radeon HD 4670

August 3rd, 2016

Hello there,
I need a little help with buying one of there gfx cards. After reading some reviews and viewing benchmarks, I was sure that paying 10 more euros for the 4670 would be a good decision. But is it really so?
Another question, as Ive never bought one before, are Asus cards better than MSI’s for example?
Thans for replies

MSI and 4670 should be better, in my opinion. but if you have more than 100$,choose a 9600gt or something similar. they are way better. i’m using an evga 9600gt and it’s great

radeon 4670 1gb gddr3 is way better than those crappy nvidia 1’s + 4670 doesnt require any extra power

I’ve never used ATI cards so I wouldnt be sure, but I’ve used lots of Nvidia Cards and Nvidia is the way to as most games now in day will have the (Nvidia, the way its meant to be run) logo.

I guess you don’t know about advertising.
AMD 4670 is a good buy.

eeeewwwwwwwww. Thanks for the imagery
Both of these cards are lower end. The ATI is better, but not much better. If you really want to play games I’d save your money and buy a 9600 as suggests. The reason the ATI card doesn’t require extra power is that it’s a pretty lowpower card, which translates into lower framerates. These days the GPU is a more powerful processor than the CPU, (which is why nVidia are starting to sell computer solutions built from what is effectively just videocards) and that requires more power. This is why some of the higher-end cards require two power feeds.
I’d certainly save the money and get something better if you are gaming.
Oh and – get a towel or a tissue or somethings – have a cold shower

If you have 100$ just buy a HD4850, just as strong as an 9800GTX+ without the price tag.
