NVIDIA GeForce 560 TI or Radeon 6970?

December 1st, 2013

I’m looking to buy a new video card since my video card plays up alot and keep showing not responding at bottom taskbar after 1 hour play. I got Gigabyte Geforce 460 768 MB..
I’m looking to buy a new card but which one of this card will perform better and high end that wont last me upgrading for next 5 years?

Answer #1
Go for Radeon 6970 .its a high end card with 2048 MB of Video memory
also with the new AMD App Acceleration and AMD HD3D Technologies
But the price (330$- 360 $) is higher than the GTX 560Ti
Answer #2
The Radeon 6970 is much better then the 560 Ti in all aspects.
But consider this aswell.. the 6970 uses much more power then the 560ti aswell make sure you have an adequate power supply. 6970 is a beast. also 6970 is more expensive!! Its really upto you. both cards will play any game thats out right now at ultra settings considering you have good ram and cpu.
Answer #3
If you are looking at the HD6970 then surely the choice is between that and GTX 570 rather than 560Ti.
I’d opt for the GTX 570.
Answer #4
That’s not even a fair comparison. And erm you must be kidding yourself to make a card last 5 years.
Answer #5
unless your playing on a huge monitor then surely a 2GB card would be pretty pointless …
Answer #6
Well my choice is ATI Radeon 6970 because it’s much better thank nvidia.
Answer #7
I have Nvidia GeForce 560 TI and it is good, handles my games, videos very well.
Answer #8
If you play games, particularly new FPS ones.
Its recommended a swap once a year.
Answer #9
I been seeing used GTX 295’s on craigslist for $120-150 USD.
That will perform as good as a 570 or 6970.
However, it won’t have DX 11.
But since its 2 GPU’s in one,
you can hook up 3 monitors.
Answer #10
Go with Nvidia Geforce 560 TI as it will not give you problems like ATI. I am not saying that ATI is not good but if you can search forums, you will find that the ATI users always face problems whereas Geforce USERS not face too much problem as well as ATI USERS require Graphic Card Driver Fixes with every new game whereas Geforce don’t need too much. I played RAGE on Geforce driver version 280.
The ATI cards are fully working only on AMD Board & Processors as it increase Card performance to 123%. You can check Nvidia Site for details.
Anyway, choice is yours. I suggest you to ask everybody but buy / use whatever you like. If you satisfy with something then no problem.

First off, ATI was acquired by AMD ages ago and their branding has changed since the 6000 series.
You might be referring to the 4000 series which is a disaster because of the terrible board designs that will signal a driver crash after a sometime.
Yes my mates reported problems with their “ATI” graphics cards, but did you know which models they were?
Yes they were 48xx series and so did my old one cocked up on me.
Been using the 5000/6000 series and it was fine.
Got a dud card, replaced it with a 2 day RMA and it was fine.
But that is old news, drivers can be updated and the problem is solved.
Not to mention you would often replace a video card within a reasonable time frame.
Rule #1: Never see the opposition’s website for their benchmarks.
Geforce user?
ATI user?
Where the hell did you get this naming trend?
Oh sure you can get a dud card, that happens with everything.
Or it can be the Warez, not updated games can cause problems as well.
The list of components running each graphic card may range from thousands of different builds, you get a lack of power from the power supply and that has a chance of not running properly.
You’ve got to stop spreading false or outdated rumors.
