ATI radeon 6630m graphics card ….. not helping

I recently purchased a viao with i5 4 gb ram 500gb harddrive and a ati 6630m intel hd graphics card and its 1gb card* … i was playing dota yesterday also cs as a matter of fact and im dissapointed to the core i get like 20 fps even after typing all manual commands in the cs console and in dota it lags in ganks its so pissng….. back in my home town i used to have a nvidia 1gb card in my desktop and it worked great always 100 fps and dota was smooth …. can someone telll me how to imporve my graphics card’s performance without over clocking it i even tried the switchable configuration in viao still in vain i think this card is fpor a gamer and is good as the reviews says but why is it so bad someone plz advise ^^

Not sure if AMD has a feature like Nvidia Optimus but check if you’re actually using the AMD card instead of the Intel inbuilt GPU. Even if were running on the Intel GPU an old engine like DoTA should run fine on it. If you still have trouble with it get a replacement.

You’re comparing a notebook GPU to a desktop GPU.
Not surprised you can’t get the same FPS.
Lower that eyecandy and call it a day

im not epecting a lot mate just the same old ancient dota and cs thats all all new games im least bothered …

Have you monitored your GPU usage while your playing to see if its being used?

That card is not for gaming.

this is the 1st thing you need to do
even better would be to disable the intel grfx in the BIOS to force the 6630m into service
have you install the latest drivers from your lappy’s web site or from AMD ?
