Audio/Video sync issues

February 2nd, 2020

I used AutoGK to hardsub a two part .avi movie and one part is out of sync. I used VirtualDub to sync the audio and video in the first part and then join the two files. The problem is that the second part of the joined file is out of Sync by about 400ms which is noticeable. I think this is because the audio and video of the first part are of different length due to the resync and when added to the second part means the second part is out of sync. Anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?
I know I could leave it in two parts but I’d prefer to have a single .avi if possible.

Answer #1
try AVIdemux
it has a rebuild index function
open 1st part A+v then append 2nd part a+v
that don’t work extract both audios to PCM (uncompressed) and re-compress the joined file using direct stream copy for video

Thanks. That sounds good.
