Movies burned on to DVD.

January 23rd, 2020

Okay, as title stated, you might have a rough idea. Here’s the thing, I’m having a movie marathon with my buddies (all are movie freaks, I am one too) and I’m in charge of getting movies. Instead of looking at retail shops (which they probably wouldn’t have), I decided to burn the movies that they wanted into a DVD and watch it on a DVD player. But, what worries me is.. The original file here on my PC is MKV format, and in this case, (if I’m not wrong) I have to use ConvertXtoDVD but if I do so, will the DVD player detect/able to read the DVD with the movie burned inside? Also, I’m from M’sia, so according to the tutorial (below), I have to use NTSC. All I want to know is, will the burned movie work on any DVD players. Read this tutorial but don’t really help with my doubts. http://www.google.com?t=582535

Yes, if you are using ConvertXtoDVD, it will convert any format so it will be playable on any DVD player. I use ConvertXtoDVD everytime I burn a movie, and it has never failed me.
Answer #2
Thanks mate. I’ll try burning now then.
Answer #3
yes he is right, convertxtodvd will convert to basically any dvd player. But note that most dvd players can support both NTSC and PAL (basically all regions)
Um I noted that you said you have mkv file. If this is a HD 720p or 1080p mkv file. Check out mkv2vob.com
This will allow high resolution playback if you have a ps3 or sony/panasonic bluray player. If you do not have a bluray player stick with ConvertXtoDVD.
Good lUck

Yes, no doubts, they are m720p (1280×588) and m1080p (1920×1038). And thanks for the link. Checking it now.
Edit. The movies are from hd-bb.org and are all awesome rips/encodes. thanks mate.
Edit 2. Does MKV2VOB work the same as ConvertXtoDVD but gives better quality like you mentioned? If yes, I might use ConvertXtoDVD on one HD movie and MKV2VOB on another movie to compare the quality. Thanks again.
