Connect to internet via PPPoE

Hello Everyone
i have broadband connection.
i have to connect to internet via PPPoE
the problem i face is when i try to connect the internet light starts blinking and i cant connect to inernet.
when i called my ISP he said there is no problem in the line, or ther server, or the router, (we tested router at their office).
so is there any solution or any third party software for it.
i can connect to internet but only sometimes. out of 100% i can only connect 20% times, rest all 80% times i get connection error.
so is there any solution and a third party software to connect to internet??
please help

What error code are u getting?? the codes are like 691, 619.. etc.

Chek you ADSL Filters And the ADSL cable that goes to the router.i’ve troubleshooted some problems like that,most of the time i found that the problem is the cables.

I dont get any error, it just says the “connection failed” and i get options 1) Diagnose 2) retry 3) retry with different connection.
when i diagnose, it says “Windows did not find any error”.

yeah, i changed the cable also, no such problem.
now to connect to internet i had to try 8 times, after that i finally got connected so i need a quicker solution for it.

Have you tried with a different computer or a new NIC?

The network card might be causing this problem. When I was using my old comp, my ADSL was disconnecting every 3-4 minutes and I couldn’t find the problem until I tried using a different network card, after which everything was fine.

yup tried both, i also took my router to my ISP office it worked there.
and on other computer it works fine
