Asus 6950 problem?
September 3rd, 2013
I bought ASUS 6950 2GB ram HD Direct CU II,and beside that I’ve got Quad Core Q6600 2.4Ghz and 4GB RAM – Win 7 64-bit.
And for example, when I play GTA 4 which is kinda old game (2008) or something. I put all to highest settings and I’ve got 18FPS.
Why? I hope I’ll get answers very soon, because I’m going crazy
I don’t wanna find out that I threw money on it for nothing. Thanks
Are all your drivers up to date for everything?
Are you monitoring your system resource usage while you play?
Monitor your CPU and GPU usage most importantly while you play.
You can download and use GPU-Z to monitor GPU usage from the sensor tab as you play.

I downloaded the latest driver for it..
Well, I don’t really understand what “Monitoring CPU and GPU” means, but i’ll try my best. I even reinstalled windows, but nothing happens.

Watch your CPU % usage, and your GPU % usage. If your CPU or GPU is running at 100%, then your bottlenecking. If your GPU is only working at say 5% max, then there is an issue with your GPU.

GTA 4 is a bad port, you can expect some mediocre performance.

I get your FPS, but that is with a load of tempering.
And besides, I’ve bought the game so I have the latest patches.
The game still dips down to very low FPS in some situations.
Thank you all for replying, It’s only problem with GTA 4. I play Battlefield 3, COD MW3 , NFS the run on maximum settings, and it works very fine. Thanks again for helping! Peace
hmm isnt the latest patches been cracked too ?
i also bought mine so im not too sure
GTA IV is CPU bound. It likes overclocked CPUs.
