DVD RW drive problem. Please help me.

I have problem because a computer doesn’t want to run DVD and CD. The computer nice recognises to DVD or CD is inserted but when I open with double click DVD RW Drive, drawer opens. I have istalled the newest firmware and all cabels are good connected. Before some days, I doesn’t have any problems. If somebody know solution for my problem let help me.
ps. sorry for grammatical errors. My english is not best.

Use a CD/DVD lens cleaner..
If that don’t help..You need to replace it..

Try uninstalling it through Device Manager then restart your computer ……. also, check if there are any ‘ghost’ drives and uninstall all those also …………….. Device Manager/View/show hidden devices will show any ghost devices.

you could try the registry fix go Start>Run and type regedit in the Run dialog box.
then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SYSTEM >
CurrentControlSet >
Control >
Class >
{4D36E965-E325 -11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Once you have opened the last folder, you should see two keys on the right hand side (Upperfilters and Lowerfilters) which you may select and then delete by right clicking and selecting Delete. then exit out of registry, reboot your pc then hopefully your dvd/cd rom can work again
