Surround Speakers buzzing
December 30th, 2013
Is there any trick to get them to not buzz or are they ruined?
There can be several reasons why you are getting noise through your speakers.
If it’s a humming noise it’s usually a ground loop problem.
If it’s a hissing sound it’s usually from the amplified background noise.
If it’s a crackling noise it’s most likely due to a bad connection.
If it’s a constant buzzing it could be from a switched polarity, or speaker wires next to power cables.
Another reason for this type of constant buzzing is from an impedance mismatch. (ohms ratings)
If it’s an intermediate buzz that occurs, you could be over driving the speaker. (distortion)
Another reason for this type of buzz is that the speaker’s cone is rubbing against the voice coil. (blown)
These are some of the main reasons for speaker noise, but certainly not all of them.
It’s like saying; “there’s a odd noise coming from my automobile, what is it?”
Contact the manufacturer immediately & see if they can provide any assistance.

If they are wireless speakers, they could be picking up interference..Test in a different location.
