February 6th, 2020

The situation is that i have a wireless internet connection and have a router supplying internet to my xbox then i have a wireless adapter supplying the internet to my computer upstairs. But when i have a mate round and he brings his xbox we want to play live together so he has plugged his xbox into the ethernet port on the computer and when he tried to share the network he gets this error.

I now have another problem but this is at home, I want to connect my xbox and pc so they are both online together. So i have a ethernet cable into the ethernet port on the computer. Then i have a D-Link DUB-E100 USB connected from a USB port in the computer to the xbox via ethernet.
And it doesn’t seem to work. Anyone no why?

That error comes up because you haven’t created static IP addresses for the computers on the network, the Xbox machines should also have statics as well. I doubt the USB ethernet converter will work with ICS. ICS usually operates if you have two network cards, and a converter really doesn’t suffice.
