Xbox 360 / Playing Backups? (noob)

August 8th, 2013

In short i want to be able to play backup games on my xbox 360. With the various methods of flashing, jtagging and drive emulation i am finding it confusing.
What is the easiest & cheapest way to enable my xbox to play backups?
I have a liteon drive
Ive had past experience taking apart the xbox
I have never used a soldering iron
I never take the xbox online
I only have access to a laptop pc (possible to hook 360 drive to laptop ?)
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated

Flashing your drive:
OK, hooking up your 360 drive to your laptop could turn out to be quite tricky – you may need a certain “chipset”. I wont bore you with the details. Also you have the liteon drive, which in my experience was one of the more complicated drives to flash (easy if you know what your doing and done it a few times). Benq drive was by far the easiest
Jtag:
You haven’t ever used a soldering iron before, so I highly recommend you don’t go down this route.
Drive Emulation:
This might be your best option. I would recommend watching tutorial videos on Youtube. Drive emulation isn’t something that I have dabbed in personally, but put in “x360key tutorial” into youtube and hopefully that might answer all your questions.
