x3 terran conflict

Hi I’ve installed x3 terran conflict and theres a option called “Boost extension” In the controls list it says “TAb” but it doen’t work.
Do I have to upgrade or install something on to the ship? when i scna my own ship it says i have 1 installed :S ive tried anything lol is this so hard or so easy im pretty messed up. hope you mihgt be able to help

In X3 just go to the configuration then the button assignment and double check which is assigned , if i remember rightly from X3 re-union if was assignable , something like ctrl or alt used to activate it , sorry i couldnt be of much more help , but they can always help you out at the egosoft forums its an active forum , Regards

boost extension doesn't effect your max speed, it just accelerates you more quickly

Boost extension just increases your acceleration. Stop your ship, then hold down TAB and look at your speed bar. Won't show up very well in a Sabre, but you'll see if you try it in a TS.
