WINRAR – Right click + Extract here = Nothing happens?!

Well basically the title says everything, I’ve been having this problem for a while now, a ignored it most of the time, but now I’ve downloaded a whole bunch of subtitle files for movies a series I recently received, a without the right-click + extract here that’s taking me quite a long time.
I tried fixing the problem by downloading the newest version, but it still doesn’t respo. I searched for other topics about winrar, but every title was just “winrar?” or “help with winrar”, so I only opened two pages of search results a read all the topics, but none covered my issue.
Any help is most welcome, a thanks in advance!

Hmmm… I remember having a problem with winrar in the past, but I dunno if it was the same as yours or different. Anyway, have you tried uninstalling the current winrar, rebooting, cleaning the registry of any remaining winrar entries, rebooting again, reinstalling it? Or uninstalling, cleaning registry, installing in safe mode + testing in safe mode? I think you could try this safe mode options too, to see at least if it’s a per-user problem.

Try doing this:
1. Open winrar
2. Select options –> settings
3. Go to the “Integration” tab
4. Uer Shell intgration, click context menu button.
5. Turn off the extract here option
6. Click OK a close all wiows + Winrar
7. Repeat steps 1-6, but at step 5 turn on the extract here option
Don’t know if it will work to be honest – but try it

Which version of winrar are you using? Try installing another version for example Winrar 3.61…

has a good idea, try removing a installing an older stable version.
This is 3.71 Corporate, no key or patch needed a it has over 25,000 d/l off RS so ya know it’s a good one!!

The point is, I still don’t have an easy solution (save for the batch opening, but I’ll leave that option open until there are no other ideas)
If anyone else has experience with this problem or knows a probably solution, any input would be much appreciated!

if the file is in only one .rar; just open it & drag the, drop it out… you get the file simply… if the files are interconnected, i have no idea.. coz, I also had this problem… a re-insalled it… now it works fine…

Don’t know if you tried this but try using an uninstaller (like Revo Uninstaller) to completely remove WinRAR a then try a reinstall
