Windows Install on First run
January 31st, 2020
I ve seen this in new laptops, when you switch it on for the first time it installs automatically the windows(windows 7 i need xp).
Laptops start from the setup process, not the install. You could install until the first restart where you set the users up which would give you the same thing.
The problem with cloning is if you did it from different hardware you may encounter driver problems.
In Linux this is Kickstart. Try NLite for XP.
You can take an image snapshot with Acronis and then use the universal restore to put that image on a different hardware setup.
Just make sure to grab a download that includes the universal restore plugin.
Thanks for your responses

I know thats why i want to start from “setup and hw driver install” when i start the computer for the first time.

Universal restore? i use acronis (the one that comes with hirens 9.9) but i only do clone partitions it doesnt support restore and system restore. I though acronis does only pure clone(like bit to bit copy)
