Windows aero.

August 13th, 2013

I think it’s ~censored~ up
Every time I play something, my desktop loses windows aero theme.
It changes to old windows skin.
How do I fix this?
It’s really ugly and annoying.
Regards

Some games, and almost all fullscreen games, normally change your windows theme to default.

It happens to me when my GPU heats up while playing BF3. Mine only turns off Aero though.

There might be a hack for it, but the game does it for a reason.
Are you using multiple monitors? If so you need to be running the game in windowed mode.

Answer #7
I had a same issue when playing games and when i exited out of the game windows would lose aero. to fix it I had to make sure the game and windows were both set with the same resolution. Try it and see if it fixes yours if they are diff.
Answer #8
Both are same.. 1920×1080.
Never happens when I play other games.. Only during BF3 this thing happens.
Answer #9
windows disables aero when a program has issues with it. some optimization programs will do it too (i believe game booster does it)
does it come back after you end the program?
