Windows 7 aero theme problem

August 1st, 2013

hi,
i’m having a problem with my aero themes.
I use the turbo mode in tuneup utilities for playing games. This features disables my aero theme and lowers it to high contrast theme. But i have also game booster installed on my pc, and i accidentally runned it together with turbo mode from tuneup. The problem is now that i cannot go back to standard mode, its still on high contrast theme, and i’m unable to enable any aero theme. They are there for me to click on, but you cannot click on them. ive tried to force start aero themes, did that score thing on windows (which is 5.9), but nothing seems to work. i also uninstalled tuneup, but it remains on high contrast. you guys can help me, or any ideas?
thanks in advance and sorry for my english

Answer #1
have you totally cleaned your computer out with ccleaner?
or revo uninstaller?
maybe the tuneup stuff you had on your computer previously, isn’t totally gone.
Answer #2
Got a System Restore point you can go back to ?
Answer #3
yeah i cleaned my system with ccleaner, and about that restore point. there was an error when i tried it. Its unable to open and it says i have to try again, but that doesn’t seem to work either
Answer #4
Rerun again tuneup and game booster with same settings and same order, then restore back to normal according to which one runned last. I use both of them when play games too, and no problem restore back using the restoration of both products.
Answer #5
i use them sometimes both either, and i also tried that. The issue is that i enable turbo mode from my gadgets in windows 7, and gamebooster disables gadgets, it seems that gamebooster interfered with turbo mode, because when i went back from gamebooster, tuneup still said it was in standard mode, but the high contrast theme was already enabled. i think i could fix it with a windows repair, but i want to have that as last option, anyone other ideas?
and thanks for the replies so far
