Windows 7 Problem opening programs?

On my windows 7 computer I am having a lot of trouble opening some of the programs I get off here usig win zip and win rar…..they opened fine on my xp computer….anyone have any ideas??? Thank-you in advance!

You might be trying to open .rar files using the winrar5 format, which older compression programs do not support.
Try bandizip – free and opens any compressed file type I have run into, including winrar5.
