Which media player to play streams from dreambox?

what is the best media player to use for playing streams from my dreambox on my pc?
I saw huge differences between some players (vlc = picture quality bad, umplayer = shows only one frozen picture, but keeps playing sound etc) [I am streaming HD-Channels via WLan]
What is the best for my purpose?
